Loves the Lone Peak 9's wide toe box for comfort but wouldn't run in it; not propulsive enough.

“I also have a pair of Altra Lone Peak 9's, zero drop, and I love wearing them for their wide toebox comfort. But I'd never run in them, they're just not propulsive enough.”

Has put over 900 miles on the same pair of Lone Peak 9s this year.

A wide-footed runner finds Altra awesome and currently runs trails in the Lone Peak 9.

“I have hobbit feet and Altras been awesome. Right now I’m running the Lone Peak 9 for trail and Escalante 4 for road.”

Just got the Lone Peak 9 in wide after loving the LP7 and found terrible quality and different sizing, warning others to stay away.

“I just got the Altra Lone Peak 9s. Terrible quality. It's insane. I had the Altra Lone Peak 7—great shoe, Great Quality.”
negative

After about 4 runs in the Lone Peak 9, coming from the LP5, the soles feel really stiff, like cages, and their ankle started hurting; the 5s felt far more nimble.

“The main difference is that the 9 soles feel really stiff to me, like cages on my feet; I kind of hate them. My ankle started to hurt during my last run in them.”

Wears the Lone Peak 9 for 12-hour work shifts on concrete, mud and snow: lightweight, breathable and comfortable, with no quality loss after 2.5 months.

“I wear the Lone Peak 9s for work. 12 hour shifts. Concrete, mud, dirt, rain, snow, etc etc. They are a great boot especially for the summertime. Lightweight, breathable and comfortable.”

First Altra was the Lone Peak 9: comfortable and spacious at first, but it breaks down, becoming too soft and uneven, so not good value.

“Lone peak 9 is my first experience with altra. They are initially comfortable and spacious, but they start breaking down and becoming too soft and become uneven.”

Likes the standard Lone Peak 9 a lot, more than the v6 and v7 they had before, and finds it dries fairly quickly.

“I have the LP 9 (not 9+, and not the GTX) and like them a lot, more than the v6 and v7 I had before that. They dry fairly quickly in my experience.”

Their Lone Peak 9s are nearing 400 miles with no blowout, better durability than several earlier Lone Peak versions.

“my current Lone Peak 9s are getting close to 400 miles”
